Mission statement
Belarus needs help after Chernobyl disaster
Belarus needs tourism
We also support travel to Belarus whether it be to arrange meetings between individuals and businesses or just to visit the country for holidays or hunting, fishing or nature study.
Tourism brings work to the country and benefits locals in the towns and country and builds bridges between countries.
We are a non-profit organisation because we want to help the people living in what is often abject poverty. This is the result of many events in the past history of Belarus. The complete destruction of the country during WWII, the subsequent impoverishment during the days of the USSR (although many Belarusians will state that they were better off before President Gorbachov). Then the Chernobyl disaster struck in April 1986.
This is a country of law and order, some would say that there is too much law but Belarus has not gone the way of Russia and crime is at a very low level. The streets are safe at night and the people are very warm and welcoming.
It is our aim to make visitors like yourself feel welcome in Belarus. There are few of the comforts of home but for the adventurous this is a good thing - it makes us appreciate how comparatively wealthy we are.
